Nature of this site
This site presents the work of the Maine-Anjou Research Group, an informal research group bringing together clinicians and scientists around ANCA-associated vasculitis and autoimmune kidney diseases. It is published in a personal capacity and is not an official website of Angers University Hospital, the University of Angers, CRCI²NA or any other institution. The affiliations mentioned on this site are given for information only and do not commit those institutions.
Hosting
The site is hosted by the publisher on a virtual private server rented from OVH, a French simplified joint-stock company whose registered office is at 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, registered with the Lille Métropole trade and companies register under number 424 761 419 (ovhcloud.com).

This site has no form, no user account, no audience measurement, no advertising and no advertising tracker. No data is sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
Server logs
Every request sent to the server is recorded in a technical log containing the IP address, the date and time, the method and the address requested, the response code, the size and duration of the response, the page the link was followed from, and the headers sent by the browser, including the user agent and the preferred language. These logs serve to secure the server, diagnose errors and detect broken links, on the basis of the publisher's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept by rotation, at most five files of 10 MiB, are used for no other purpose and are disclosed to no one.
Display preference
If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is kept in your browser's local storage, under the key theme. This information stays on your device, is never sent to the server, and disappears if you clear your browser's site data. Since it serves only to remember a choice you have made, it requires no prior consent and this site therefore displays no cookie banner.
The navigation bar also keeps the address of the previous page, under the key navFrom, in your browser's session storage. It serves only to animate the active tab indicator as you move from one page to another. This information contains no identifier, is never sent to the server, is confined to the tab you have open and disappears as soon as you close it. Like the previous one, it allows no tracking.
Publications page
The publication list is assembled in your browser, which queries the PubMed E-utilities services operated by the National Library of Medicine (National Institutes of Health, United States). Your IP address is therefore transmitted to that service when you visit this page. It is the only page on the site that opens a connection to a third party.
Electronic mail
If you write to the address given above, your message and your email address are processed in order to reply to you and are kept in the publisher's professional mailbox. This address is intended neither for requests for care, nor for the transmission of personal medical data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the data concerning you, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to benoit.brilland@chu-angers.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
